i am me.

The strengths of my piece of art are that it's organized by color and groups which allows you to follow the story easier. If I was someone looking at it the first time I would believe that it was a very simple but easily understood picture. Also I would belive that it was an easy story to follow and understand my life and picture. One thing that comes through is the ability for all the pieces to come together yet blend in cohearant way. This comes through because of how I added the pastels.

  1. I thought it was really creative how each colored section connects to your brain and also how the colors go from dark to light.

  5. I liked how you had each section coming out of your brain be a different color. It really showed how all those different things are very important to you in different ways. I also liked how all the colors met up in one part of the brain and mixed together, it kinda said that even if everything looks organized it really isn't. Also how the colors went from being darker to being lighter gave your eye a sort of path to follow and it lead you threw the picture.

  7. Alex, your self-portrait was most defiently unconventional. I liked how you had everything flowing from a swirly colorful kapoodle (better word??) in your brain out into different aspects of you. Your picture shows that you are very proud of your heritage and have a big thing for cats, which represents a big part of you. I like the way you colored the sections in the background from dark to light from your brain so it gave the eye a path to follow. Good work.

  9. I really liked the way you divided your portrait up with colors for different aspects of your life it gave it a structure. I also thought the way the colors got brighter as they moved to the right because it created a path for your eyes to follow. The combination of printed pictures, hand made drawings and cut outs gave the portrait great levels and textures.

  10. I really liked the fact that you made the brain less important compared to the other parts of the project also the coloring of background made your eye follow it. I also liked the way you cut out the box in the brain and made it colofully connected the different parts of you. lastly i liked that you used leading lines to lead you from the brain to the flags, bed and cats. good job.

  12. I really like how you had everything leading to the brain, it really gave a sense everything was really coming from you. I think the choice to use bright colors really enhanced the piece. It emphasises what makes you, you and not just another brain

  13. I really enjoyed your portrait I thought that it was really cool. I really like how everything that was important to you led to the brain. It really helped display the significance of those things. I also like the light to dark contrast which gave you a path to follow. Your choice in orginization was also very good because it helped identify the levels of purpose.
