The End of the Year Blog post
I feel that at the begginning I was really bored and annoyed by art. Then it went really down hill with art as we began drawing. But by the end of the year I was able to really get into art and had fun with the sculpture and drawing project. Some of the ups were the splatter and then finding the things inside the splatter and drawing them. One of the downs was the printmaking project. I understood it, but my image just couldn't come out right and that really frustrated me. This year in art has really given me a new look on art. I usually hate art and didn't want to be apart of it. But now I looked forward to art and actually enjoyed it. Even though I'm still not very good. I have decided though that I've had to much of art. Next year I will probably switch into theater because I have acted before and really want to move on to that. Thank you Mrs.Roberts for everything you have done.

I see the light drawing
My goal for using the light was to emphasize the windmill in the teardrop. This also helped emphasize the teardrop and the top of the background. This idea just popped into my mind from a song and then the idea of people wasting emotion came to me and I included the baby teeth as the emotion because we only have a certain amount of baby teeth. I used the pencils to give the base color and have the picture get darker and then use the eraser to lighten the part which were to dark. I learned to never start out with 6B pencil because on the bottom of the teardrop there is a faint outline of the first teardrop i tried to draw.

Use of light
Be sure to write about at least 2 situations like the ones just described that come to mind when you think of light and answer these questions:What is the potential for light to be symbolic in a work of art? What could it symbolize and why?
One situation is that when using light you can emphasize something in the picture while one area could be dark. The potentiol for light is that you can have light change the feeling from happy to sad or add a new element that creates a controversy in the picture. It could symbolize happiness, good strength, trust because light usually represents happy emotions. Another example of use is in the song white light by Gorrilaz it tells of how when you've gone to far you may see the end of the tunnel.

i am me.
The strengths of my piece of art are that it's organized by color and groups which allows you to follow the story easier. If I was someone looking at it the first time I would believe that it was a very simple but easily understood picture. Also I would belive that it was an easy story to follow and understand my life and picture. One thing that comes through is the ability for all the pieces to come together yet blend in cohearant way. This comes through because of how I added the pastels.

Alexander Demaria's work
The picture I liked the most was Ritual Growth. This was one of the most interesting of them all. Especially because of how the person thing was in kind of a thinking stare and trying to figure out what he or it is thinking. I wanted to ask him were he gets his inspiration for the picture.

Reflecting on self portrait progress
On your blog, please describe what happened while discussing your work.
What did you share with your group members?
How did they react to your story and your work of art?
What feedback did they give you about your work up to this point?
What do you still need to do to finish your work and how many more classes do you anticipate needing to finish?
I told my group about my picture and what I had completed on it, because I couldn't find mine in the classroom. I told them of the brain and my ideas and my life story flowing out of it. They really ignored and didn't give me any feedback. Right after I was done speaking they decided to quickly move on to the block post.

4 hour project
The four hour project was a nice break from our usual art projects. I liked this because we had a stronger voice in this project. One thing that was challenging was choosing what I was gonna do because I felt like I was left in the open water. My sculpture came out pretty well but one thing I could've done was try to add more ideas and more of me into it if I had more time or if I could redo it. At first I got off to a great start and made a ton of progress but then it became tougher for me and there was then less progress being made.
